- Updated: February 25, 2023
The Southern Victoria Vikings jumped out in front to lead this one wire to wire for their second straight title.
The Vikes erupted for 37 first quarter points and held a 27 point lead after ten minutes as Harvey could only muster 10 points in the quarter. Things we a little better for Harvey in the second stanza as they held Southern Victoria to 15 points in the second as they scored 8. After 20 minutes it was 52 – 18 for Harvey.
The Third Quarter was solid for Harvey as they were only outscored 14 – 12 in the third but with 10 minutes to play the Vikes were comfortably out in front 66 – 30. The final period would see Harvey outscored Southern Vic 18 – 13 but it was nowhere near enough as the Vikings win the game and the banner 79 – 48.
The Vikings were led by Ainsley Green with 31 points and 8 rebounds. Kali St. Peter added 27 points (all in the first half) as she dropped 7 three pointers to contribute to the win. Ainsley Green was the player of the game for the Vikings.
Harvey was led by Riley Demerchant with 13 points and 9 rebounds. Jorge Bernard add 10 points and was selected as Harvey’s Player of the Game and Delaney MacElwain also chipped in with 10.
