John Caldwell Goes Back-To-Back

The #1 ranked John Caldwell Golden Knights came to TD Station to defend the title they won a year ago. They came out with an early lead and never looked back pulling away from Fredericton Christian early in the second half to cruise to victory.
John Caldwell came out of the gates flying as they put up 23 points in the opening quarter, as they help the Eagles to 14. In the second stanza, Fredericton Christian cut the lead down to 2, before the Golden Knights flexed their offensive muscles to open that lead back up to 10 at halftime. They headed into the break up 38 – 28.
Fredericton Christian score the first 4 points in the third to cut the lead to 6, but then JCS went on a 16 – 0 run of their own to open up a commanding lead 58 – 32. The third ended with the Golden Knights up 64 – 34 with just 10 minutes remaining. The Knights put it on cruise control in the fourth to win the championship over the FCA Eagles 74 – 54.
John Caldwell were led by their NBIAA All-Star and Player of the Game Kohen Pietens who scored 28 points and added 13 rebounds for his double-double. He was helped out by another NBIAA All-Star Kaeden Pietens who added 11 points and 7 rebounds and Even Dubé-Nickerson with 11 points.
The Eagles were led by their NBIAA All-star and Player of the Game Farel Kengne who scored 13 points and Matteo Onana who added 10 in a losing cause.
