Southern Victoria Hold Off FCA
- Updated: February 23, 2025

Southern Victoria blew a 19 point lead a year ago and would not let history repeat itself this time around as they hold off an FCA comeback to win the Provincial Championship at TD Station.
Southern Victoria and FCA went back and forth in the first quarter as the Viking took a 14 – 10 lead after 10 minutes of play. In the second, it would be the Fredericton Christian Eagle that would outscore the Vikes 13 – 10 and we headed into halftime with Southern Vic out in front 24 – 23.
Southern Victoria would jump out again in the 3rd quarter as they netted 22 points, holding the Eagles to 14. We headed to the fourth with Southern Victoria ahead, 46 – 37. The fourth would be a great back and forth quarter with FCA taking the lead late in the game, before the Vikes responded and took a 3 point lead that they would hold onto to clinch the championship, 62 – 59.
Souther Victoria were led by player of the game Mataia Perley, who dropped. Game high 23 points, Sadie Clark Loose, with 17 points and NBIAA All-star Taylor Adams who chipped in with 9 pints and 16 rebounds.
Fredericton Christian Academy were led by Lauren Sturgeon who scored 19 points and added 11 rebounds for her double-double. NBIAA All-star and player of the game Neely McAloon chipped in with 14 points in a losing cause.
Congratulations to the Southern Victoria Vikings on their Girls A Championship win!!!
