Woodstock with Dominant Second Quarter
- Updated: February 22, 2025

The Thunder got off to a solid start but it was the Miramichi Valley Pulamoo that led after 10 minutes, leading 11 – 10.
The Pulamoo could not find anything for almost 8 minutes in the second period and Woodstock played their game to a tee. Woodstock would take the quarter 20 – 4, and take a commanding lead into halftime, up 30 – 15.
Miramichi found a little more success in the third as they put up 13 points and held the Thunder to just 6 points. After three, it was WHS 36 – MVHS 28.
Things would get interesting in the 4th as Miramichi would cut the lead to four but Woodstock would put and end to the comeback hopes and pulled away to take the quarter 13 – 10, as the Thunder win the game 51 – 38.
Woodstock was led by Rylee McCartney who scored 11 points, Alex Clowes with 7 points, and player of the game Emma Saunders who chipped in with 5 points.
Miramichi was led by their player of the game Tayla Larocque who scored a game high 12 points, and NBIAA All-star Bria Johnston who added 9 points
Congratulations to the Woodstock Thunder for their AA Girls Championship win!!!
